Real estate is all about location, and the demand for Boca Raton continues to grow. See what the Florida Realtors data tells us about the market.
In over 25 South Florida ZIP codes, homeowners are experiencing double digit price appreciation. Based on data gathered by the Florida Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale, the median sales price for Boca Raton increased this quarter by 4.4% to $355,000. There was a 6.7% jump in sales volume for this quarter as well. The tri-county area is home to very different markets. Only one oceanfront ZIP code made the list.
Boca Raton made the list of the local ZIP codes with the greatest year-over-year percentage increases in median home prices, a great market indicator for those considering moving up, moving down or just looking for something new. Central Boca Raton has had 79 closed sales during this quarter, of them, 25 were paid in full with cash.
As the incoming president of the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches and the Greater Fort Lauderdale area, Jeffery Levine, has made claims about these percentage price increases. “The fact that we are in an increasing interest rate environment has not shown any downward pressure in prices as of yet, though we have to remain cautious of a possible slowdown in price appreciation.” Due to Boca Raton’s impressive growth, becoming a resident is certain to be a smart decision for the future.
