U.S. News asked top college officials to identify institutions in their Best Colleges ranking category that are making the most innovative improvements in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities. The schools that received the most nominations made the prestigious list for making promising changes on campus. What South Florida University made the list?

Lynn University is a private institution that was founded in 1962. Freshmen at Lynn University can choose from more than 20 undergraduate majors, and if they’re particularly motivated, they can apply for the Lynn 3.0 program. This opportunity allows a select group of students to take advanced classes and graduate in three years instead of four. Graduate students can study in more than 20 master’s degree and certificate programs as well.

Outside the classroom, Lynn students can get involved in more than 30 organizations and participate in club and intramural sports. More serious athletes can try out for the blue and white Lynn University Fighting Knights sports teams, which are members of the NCAA Division II Sunshine State Conference and compete in more than 10 sports. Off campus, students are in a prime location to enjoy the yearlong warm weather with the beach just 3 miles away and Miami, Orlando and the Florida Keys within easy driving distance.
